It's out! Happy Taco Dos Mayo!
Dang! It's been a long time coming!
Despite turning around in my head for months, a most of this came together in a huge rush over about a week. If you're coming here from the ICB episode, there's been a ton of changes in the last few days! So make sure to read the rules carefully. Some highlights:
- The whole "lil guy" thing is gone, the GM now resolves failures
- Dice pools! Players now accumulate dice when they fail a roll.
- No more host, instead one of the players is the host
- New "goals" for players
- The Center of Attention creates their trait in advance, but discards it if they fail
- GM hat can no longer bid
- Ending is streamlined (this isn't really a change because it's based on how we did it live, but it still is a bit different than the original ending)
I'd probably like to do some better (or any) graphics, since formatting it from a google doc outline into a rulebook got crammed into about an hour an a half, but it's fine. That's kind of how I feel about the entire project. Did the theme come through? kinda. Is it fun? sure. I'm defs less happy with this than my last two games, but also this was less work. Some more playtesting would go a very long way in getting it good.
Also, it was gonna be one page but.. lol. lmao.
